RAKEZ Elevates UAE-India Business Relations

RAKEZ's CEO Emphasises Longstanding UAE-India Relationship, Encourages Indian Businesses to Thrive in Ras Al Khaimah's Business-Friendly Environment with Over 5,300 Indian Companies Already Established.

In a bid to economic ties and extend support to Indian investors exploring opportunities in the UAE, Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone  has embarked on a series of business events in major Indian cities.

RAKEZ has been actively engaging in B2B networking sessions, roundtable discussions, and investor meetings in Kolkata, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. The economic zone's team has collaborated with business owners and business councils, including the Indian Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

The engagements in major Indian cities have attracted a diverse range of Indian investors from sectors such as F&B, chemicals, metal, sustainable solutions, telecommunications, engineering, construction, media, power and energy, automotive, pharmaceutical, and packaging. RAKEZ also participated in leading Indian exhibitions, including Plastfocus in Delhi and INT-EXT Expo in Ludhiana, Punjab, showcasing its business solutions to potential investors in the plastics manufacturing and architectural industries.

RAKEZ Group CEO, Ramy Jallad, highlighted the significance of the UAE-India relationship, stating, "The UAE and India share a longstanding relationship by shared cultural and economic interests. India continues to be one of the UAE and Ras Al Khaimah’s most important markets for FDI."

Jallad further highlighted the success of recent engagements in major Indian cities, noting that direct interactions with Indian entrepreneurs and investors have not only showcased RAKEZ's comprehensive business solutions but have also created tangible opportunities for growth and collaboration.

Over 5,300 Indian companies have already established their operations in RAKEZ, drawn by the benefits of 100 percent company ownership, full profit repatriation, and integration into the UAE’s extensive international business network. These firms enjoy partnerships with both government and private entities within the economic zone and benefit from agreements with Indian organisations such as the Indian Economic Trade Organisation and the Indian Chamber of Food and Agriculture.

RAKEZ is committed to supporting Indian businesses in using Ras Al Khaimah as their launchpad for regional and global expansion. The economic zone provides a business-friendly environment, central location, partnerships, and the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement 2022 framework that reduces tariffs and trade barriers between the UAE and India.

To facilitate ongoing collaboration, RAKEZ maintains a dedicated branch office in Mumbai, India, ensuring seamless connection and assistance for Indian enterprises looking to expand their reach. The economic zone welcomes Indian delegations, including government officials, business council members, and budding entrepreneurs, featuring prominent companies like Royal Gulf Industries, Mahindra, Motherson Sumi Systems, Dabur Naturelle, Ashok Leyland, and Datamatics among its vibrant business community.
