Top ranked business school opens Middle East office

Having worked actively for the past ten years with public and private sector organisations in the Middle East, Ashridge Business School has now strengthened its on-ground presence in the region with the opening of its first Middle East office in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi.

Ashridge is a provider of customised and open executive education, organisation consulting, virtual learning and qualification programmes.  The Middle East office will facilitate these offerings for private and public sector clients in the GCC, introducing a portfolio of valuable open enrolment executive programmes aimed at individual managers and leaders. Study on open programmes can contribute towards the Ashridge Masters in Management qualification.

Rory Hendrikz, Director for Ashridge, Middle East said:  “Developing strong, confident, capable leaders is the single biggest challenge facing governments and businesses in the region today. Having worked closely with a wide range of organisations throughout the GCC since 2001, it has never been more important for Ashridge to help meet this challenge.  Setting up our office here will enable us to work efficiently and effectively to deliver our global best practice in a relevant regional context.

“Ashridge’s distinctive formula for learning has proven highly successful in both developed and emerging markets around the world, and many business and government leaders have participated in Ashridge programmes.  Our specialist faculty are not only highly qualified academically, most importantly they all have extensive international business experience.  This combination of thought leadership and a sound grasp of real world realities make for powerful and practical learning experiences.”

In operation for more than 50 years, Ashridge Business School has accumulated expertise in organisational development and leadership, working with organisations around the world including Sinopec, the UK National Health Service, Bayer CropScience and the City of London.  It is one of only 29 schools worldwide to be accredited by all three main executive education bodies – the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), The European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) and the Association of MBAs (AMBA).

“This makes Ashridge a particularly suitable partner for any Middle East based organisation wanting to enhance the capabilities of its managers and leaders. In order for international executive development programmes to truly succeed here, they need to demonstrate a real understanding of doing business in this region. It’s a clear differentiator for us,” said Hendrikz.
