Changing patterns

There has been discussion comparing the difficulties that both Emirati and Expatriate business owners and entrepreneurs face. Claire Fenner, Heels & Deals, has made the point that from the female perspective, although there is the notion that emirati business indiviudals generally receive more financial support and funding, especially during these tough economic times, this is certainly not the case with with emirati females. Much work has had to be done to help ALL woman in the region to gain a foothold in the business community.

It seems that much work is still to be done is levelling the playing field to integrate female emirati, and indeed expatriate, entrepreneurs and potential female SME owners into the market. Heels & Deals is certainly trying its best- in this instance they are creating a platform for all business woman in the region, irrespective of national identity.
