Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) has announced its sponsorship of the Emirates Woman of the Year Awards for the fourth consecutive year. Through its partnership with INSEAD Abu Dhabi, and with the creation of the ADCB Ambition Award, the bank once again reaffirms its commitment to supporting the ambitious goals of women in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Celebrating the success of women in the UAE, the Emirates Woman of the Year Awards is the region’s most prominent awards ceremony which celebrates women from all walks of life. From the ambitious woman looking to start her own business, to the women who have excelled in their fields, these awards are an annual reminder of the contribution women make to the development of their communities and their active contribution to the economy.
Nadia Khalid Abdulrahman, Head, Corporate Credit & Credit Operations commenting on the bank’s sponsorship of the Award, said “At ADCB we understand what ambition means, we understand the hard work and determination it takes for women to go about starting their own businesses, take on leadership positions and work to improve their communities. It is with this in mind that we created the ADCB Ambition Award, in association with the Emirates Woman of the Year Awards, an award that celebrates and recognises the important role women play in the development of the UAE economy and indeed their effort to enrich their communities.”
She added: “It is an honour and a privilege to be sponsors of this award for the fourth year in a row, we are the bank that supports ambition and we hope that this award and the candidates stories will empower the next generation of women in the UAE.”
Sophia Serin, Senior Editor of Emirates Woman magazine commented on the association “We are thrilled to have ADCB partnering with us again to uncover, recognise and honour the inspiring women that shape our nation.”
