Al Tamimi & Company, the largest law firm in the Middle East, has launched its own leadership academy.
Following the success of the firms’ launch of its Centre for Development in 2010, the firm understands that to be at the forefront of the legal industry in the region, it must have the ability to attract, retain and develop professional staff who are not only technical experts but also possess the necessary leadership skills to advance the firm in new areas.
Husam Hourani, Managing Partner, Al Tamimi & Company said: “the Leadership Academy will help us develop the existing talent we have in the firm which will in turn lead us to even more success in the future.”
“Our people are what drives the success of the firm and in today’s competitive environment, it’s imperative that we do all we can to develop our employees to ensure we not only retain them but that we also prepare them for the next step in their career development,” he added.
One of the highlights of the Leadership Academy will be the fast track Emirati Trainee Lawyer programme which demonstrates the firm’s commitment to the development of local lawyers.
The academy will also comprise a number of different interventions including comprehensive Management Development Programs for both professional and support staff plus a series of leadership seminars.
The Leadership Academy will be launched on 17th April at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in DIFC with a keynote address to be given by Rabea Ataya, the Chief Executive of Bayt.com, the Middle East’s number one job site.
The firm saw it fitting to launch the Leadership Academy with a presentation by a truly successful leader of the regions leading online recruitment networking portal.
As Husam Hourani himself points out, visionary leaders are few and far between but where they do exist, we can all benefit from hearing how they have helped to shape the environment in which they operate.
